Outreachy
Outreachy provides internships in open source and open science. Outreachy provides internships to people subject to systemic bias and impacted by underrepresentation in the technical industry where they are living.
Outreachy internships are:
Paid - $7,000 USD total internship stipend
Remote - both interns and mentors work remotely
3 months - internships run May to August, or December to March
Work on Open Source and Open Science
Outreachy has internship projects in both open source and open science. Outreachy internship projects may include programming, research, user experience, documentation, graphical design, data science, marketing, user advocacy, event planning, and more!

Important dates
May 2023 internships:
Intern applications are accepted from January 16, 2023 to February 6, 2023
Internship project list is finalized in early March 2023
🙋🏽 Mentoring organization sign up is open through February 10, 2023. Project submission deadline is February 24, 2023.
Internships run late May 2023 to late August 2023
December 2024 internships:
Intern applications are accepted from early August to late August 2023
Internship project list will be finalized in late September 2023
🙋🏽 Mentors can sign up starting in early August 2023
Internships run early December 2023 to early March 2024
